Overview of the Project
The main purpose for this project was to mainly help learn the vocabulary words that we received weekly for the assigned literacy book. We would have to include five or more of this words in each of our writings too help us memorize the vocabulary. We usually would have gotten total freedom and control on what we want to choose to write about. Every week I choose to write something different.
Into The Wild: Week 1Vocab Poem
By Sina Ghaffarnejad
I was walking through the park when I saw them protruding out of the bushes.
Sonorous and strong, like the fat lady at the opera.
Singing from when the walkway is meandered with everyone nodding UH UH.
But they don't mind them, because they know that their music is true to themselves.
They are opaque unlike anyone else in that park because they know that the true themselves is nothing to hide.
Out of the bushes came his visage, sharpe and looking wise.
You can tell that his whole life was onerous.
You could tell that this man can break a stone into a gypsum by the heart and determination that he had.
As they finished singing, they moved on to continue a life that a normal vagabond lives finding a new home every night.
As I was leaving the park I went into a contemplative thought about the men and women vagabonds that i just saw and swear to use it as a life lesson.
Before that amazing experience i would be garrulous about the topic of vagabonds and how bad they are but now, not so much.

When people talk about big, great, amazing things, what do they normally think of. Most people would say an elephant, the US, a man jumping through a ring of fire. All of these are all prodigious things that make the world unique and that makes them great and amazing. Then I bring up greater things such as Earth, the stars, and the galaxy and the meaning of them and what make them great. Those are all prodigious thing Change our world and make it unique but then I bring up the Earth, the stars, the galaxy that we live in, that’s prodigious to me. The story of all of us and the things around us are all uncanny. Therefore for all this mysterious and conspiracies we made theories and claim that they are proven when we haven't even traveled past our own moon. But no, that is the only way that scientist can make us interested about the prominent things. I ask why? It is because our own mind is desiccated to the idea. Now a days, people only care about there own being, own zip code, and own country while only interested about things that would benefit themselves and their loved ones. That type of thinking is a realistic and plausible thought. After all, all living organisms main and most important instinct is to survive but our world is turning into a world thats dependent on material things. You can't walk half a mile without seeing a person traipsing down the sidewalk without a phone in their pocket or earbuds in there ear. Materialism is a virus in some sort. People see something that they want but do not need in the hands of another being. That develops a mindset to enquire that particular object, that material object. The virus keeps spreading, and the adherent of materialists increase. Earth has become a world of materialism and we are all denizens of it. I'm not saying that materialism should be wiped away but it should have a limit because the amount is getting surfeit. Our world is a filigree and we are destroying it.
Into The Wild: Week 3
A Basketball Player
Basketball, a game of which two opposing teams try to score by shooting a ball into a ring ten feet up in the air. Basketball is described as a mundane and simple sport. They aren't delineating the idea very well. Basketball has many details of which can not be learned easily. A basketball player should never have the thought of succumb in their head even on the edge of defeat. Despite how tired you, or how little time is left on the clock, you should always push through till the buzzer goes off. Players should never be sullen on the basketball court, they need to use their anger to fuel their competitive spirit. Clemency and kindness should never be shown to your opponents until the game is over and you are touching them up. Players should not be recalcitrant to their coach or teammates because they are who’s going to get you through the game to a win. I believe that players are cynical but should also be motivated by the potential and possible gains of your team. A basketball team and almost every team is a family. They trust each other, assist each other, and look out for each other. A player is never derelict because their team is always their home.
The Odyssey: Week 1
Odysseus Hearing About Penelopes Marriage
This speaking takes place on the island of calypso about 2 years after Odysseus left his home and family to go to war. It is spoken by Odysseus and myself. The parts in parentheses are mainly me and rest Odysseus.
I was sitting by the beach looking off into the sea. Ever since the herald had brought the news to me, I was in a dark, sorrow mood that I could not stand. That terrible news, that terrible, dreadful news. Never had something hurt so much but yet not touch me. She was gone, I was too late. My loving Penelope had been forced into marriage with another man. Damn those suitors! Damn the gods! I have nothing now, no love, no hope, no freedom. Those cunning suitors will pay.( At that moment, Odysseus had a shrewd thought about the suitors even though he had never met them. Odysseus was looked at auspiciously and was honored throughout the land, why would anyone do that to his wife. It is time for Odysseus to return now. He should plan an escape, he should pack some provisions for his journey and head out at midnight).
The Odyssey: Week 2
THE DARK HORSEMEN
SINA GHAFFARNEJAD
Sometimes at dusk we would see him come out from the hidden interior of his island, for years we had no idea who he was or what he did until the sighting of the horse. The dark horse with glowing red eyes and a keen mind, smarter than any man on earth. Before that day we heard of the horse not as a terror, but as a legend. A legend that our parents told us when we were kids and a tale we will tell our children. The horse came strolling into Ruka with a mysterious man riding it. The mystery of the man is clear now, he is the artisan of the horse, the rider of fear, the rider of death. The horsemen demanded everyone to a gathering. No one wanted to go but they walked toward the gathering like they weren't in control of their body. When everyone had gathered, the horsemen started to speak in a calm manner that caught people by surprise. The horsemen spoken of bringing bestow for the people of the world, but it wasn't long before the people of the small town knew that it wasn't a gift. He spoke,” Listen, town of Ruka, I have awaken from a long sleep to pronounce a new era. An era of sorrow and pain. And I have come here to pronounce Ruka as the origin of this era and the town I will have my castle built on, for it is the closest town to my grave. All the people of Ruka will be allotted a job to do and no one shall refuse for I will send any to hell if they disobey. Soon after the ride of the horsemen, the town had turned from a beautiful, simple small town to a slavery work yard. No one has dared to refuse the labor because of the pain that they believe to be casted upon them. No one except for, Herenzo. Herenzo was no great man, he was a young farmboy from a very poor family. He had no skills in combat, no experience in any conflict but he had hope. Something that no one had had since the horsemen has spoken. He had this fire burning in him, a fire that will soon lead him to elude the control of the horsemen and once again become free.

No Pain, No Gain
Sina Ghaffarnejad
BUUZZZZZZZZZZZ!!!!! The buzzer goes off, everybody cheers, and my mind relents from the world for seconds. For once throughout the week, I feel like i’m at peace with myself. No one yelling “you suck”, “you don’t belong” or coming up and asking for a picture and in the process attracting others that will eventually ruin my day. I wish I never made it to fame. I dont want it, take it back.
The Flashback
It's five A.M., Friday Morning, ever since the day I made it onto the Lakers roster, I couldn't sleep. A team with a great and rich past. Some say that they suck, that they're a bunch of scrubs, but I think of it as a miracle. That they are giving me a chance to play at the professional level. I show up at staples center 4 hours before my first game. I arrive with a sense of nervousness and appall. The thought of messing up really brought fear to my heart. I walk into the lockers and saw all the players with sinewed bodies . Unexpectedly they came up and introduced themselves to me and welcomed me to the team. That really helped with the exiedy. I know from that day, I could call them my comrades. It wasn't long until we were starting to go out onto the court. The luminous flashes blinded me and brought the nervousness back into my mind. It was on.

The Odyssey: Week 4
The Folly of the Helmsmen
It was a sunny day, the helmsmen rose and went to the wheel. He and his crewmates were heading home from a great battle many seas away. It was nighttime and the sea was calm. Considering the weather, the helmsmen decided to go to sleep. When he did, no one was awake and steering the ship. During the night, the ship went astray and started heading toward the whirlpool. It sucked the ship in, and killed all his crewmates except him. He woke up at the shore of an island, shriveling and cold. He was distressed because he did not know where his crew was. He thought about what had happened and thought that this was retribution for his actions. He had slacked off and slept, and because of that, he is alone on an island.
The Odyssey: Week 5
The Land of the Lost
I woke up, ravenous and tired. I looked around to see where I was. I did not recognize anything. It was a hot and humid atmosphere that let out a vibe that felt dismal, i thought to myself a “I’m lost, I’m in a unknown place with no food, no water, and no transportation, my car was not with me. I dont know where my car is or where I am because I don't remember anything from yesterday. In fact, I don't remember anything at all. Nothing at all, not my home, not my family, not even my name.” Suddenly out of the blue, I saw a mongrel standing facing me with a agitating look. He started to hasten toward me with tremendous speed and not before long, he attacked and I blacked out again….
